I will flat out admit that I am reflexively savage towards people when they share their attempts at art. I know the nice-person thing to do is being supportive and encouraging in the hopes that you further develop your skill. I've tried to tone it back in recent years, but seeing people proudly share stuff I would be ashamed of having created triggers something in me. I'm relentlessly self-critical to the point of paralysis when it comes to art, and the sheer confidence with which some people display garbage is deeply, viscerally offensive to me. -
