Mind you that my dissociation was more effective for me at this age than fighting, complying, or running away. I believe I was around 11-years-old. At the sled hill one winter day with two neighborhood kids, I got involved in what I recall as a pretty excellent snowball fight. There were two sides and perhaps 20 kids in all. I tossed a well-packed snowball and it hit a guy in a yellow jacket, who looked to be about 13. He stormed over from his side, totally ignoring the snowballs flying in either direction, grabbed me forcefully by the collar with one hand. With the other, he punched me in the face five times as hard as he could. Luckly, he was wearing those cushioned gloves that keep you from really maneuvering your hands with all your power or finesse, but I was still on the brunt end of a lot of force from an older kid. In one spot on my forehead I'd taken five full-on thrusting punches. I, an elementary school student, had no interest in fighting this teenager, and I knew I had to do something to make him stop before I was more seriously injured. Most vividely, I remember being fixated on not crying in that moment as my way out. I was determined to hold at bay the tears and screaming that I feared would invite death, and everything of me was denying them with a fierceness of something that breaks if it must. If I didn't show pain, he'd stop, I felt. I refused to allow it in the only way that a child can do such a thing with their consciousness. I vanished. My vision went black and I could only hear myself just barely. I heard myself taunting him with horrible statements about his mother. I can't remember what exactly I said about her beyond the fact that he was genuinely upset. When I came to, I was standing. In fact, I was cornering him with my friends on the surface of a frozen pond nearby and had no recollection of my walk there from the sledhill. I guess he had been hitting a few younger kids that day, and when we threatened to put this bully in the hospital, he ran home.    Jesus is king African Astronaut
   So I was about 7 or 8, all excited to go to this restaurant in a few days.
   I went outside my apartment complex to the complex playground.
   There was this little girl on the swing set so I walk up to her and start twisting her swing around and around and around until it wouldn't go twist any more ... Then I let go and watched as the little bitch swung around violently until it ended and she fell over.
   Because of that I wasn't able to go to the restaurant :(
