a bunch of newspapers got really asspained and put the tiananman tank man photo on the front page lul. I wonder if those 'journalists' even know that the tank column actually moved around that guy.
in terms of what actually happened though, the civilian deaths and executions, it happens in war. the reason it's unacceptable is because this is not a war, it's a gay, illegitimate police action that we have no business participating in.

reminds me of that time a few weeks back when Australian news accused China of using the pandemic as cover for 'human rights abuses' in the same week that Victorian police kicked in several peoples' doors and arrested them (including a pregnant woman) for joining an anti-mask protest group on facebook
