I can only hope this will be the case...but I doubt it. There will be a lot of hand wringing and official denials of Trump collusion in an attempt to rewrite history and deny culpability. The fly in the ointment will be Trump himself and his family. Trump is a narcissist and will not give up the limelight. I also see Trump Jr. getting groomed for his own political future with plenty of disgruntled white supremacists eager and willing to keep their vision alive. -

He won't give it up, but he'll still become irrelevant. A lot of Republicans are tired of making excuses for Trump. His ineptitude is the only thing stopping him from being dictator. Imagine if he was as competent as Hitler? We'd have a serious problem. But he does so much double speak that most people don't like him. This election is really about who you dislike most.
I think the GOP will try and forget Trump ASAP and find someone else to push. Trump has had his use. He actually did a lot to further the Republican agenda, but if he's not electable again they aren't gonna stick with him. The fascism will end and we'll be back to this dichromatic two party shit and everyone will get apathetic after 2 Biden terms again and another Republican will win, this time more competent than Trump. Maybe Pence.
Until then I think we'll have 8yrs of a steadily growing economy just like we had under Obama. It can't possibly get worse once COVID is not a huge threat anymore -
