I honestly didn't know it was like this here until i went a few miles down town. the cops are basically worthless when it matters here. They closed both homeless shelters downtown so you stick out like a sore thumb if you're not black, its mostly black people on the streets but its whyte people givign them tacos.
Austin has been been fucked for a long time but I just went to go for a walk and a brew and every block I was having nigs trying to sell me crack or ask for a cigarette. I've worked down town and it was kind of the same thing but really ramped up now.
A lot of the problem is califronians, the cops (i hate cops) kicked them out but then they came back with hand washing stations under the bridges.
To be honest its actually white libs that push this bullshit.
