The powerbank is designed to charge your phone, the transformer is specced to charge your phone but it wasn't designed to do that. It's just an easy way of converting what comes out of the wall into something your phone can use.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire!

usually it'll be something like 5 volts, 1 amp (5V1A).
the higher the amperage the faster the power transfers; most consumer chargers cap at like 2A because anything higher raises the heat of a lithium cell and can cause it to burn up like those samsung phones.
fast charge and the like go up to 10A I think, but they specifically only charge your battery up to 50% before dropping the amperage down for safety/the life of the cell.The following users say it would be alright if the author of this post didn't die in a fire! -

Basically this, though I've seen them as high as 3.1 amps. Look for the ones sold "for tablets" as they typically will have a higher amperage. -

it was pretty good but as far as I know only a few of the sony models used it:

similar to the way the macbook magnetic charger cable works and you don't run the risk of wrecking the connector if you trip over the cable and yank it out.
