Turnips are every Sunday from 5am to noon. There are calculators online where you enter your price from nook every day and it tells you the best potential day to sell and predicts the next week.
Sometimes you get a good pattern and they have a high sell price but a lot of people use dodo codes and just find someone on Reddit with a really high sell price.
Hts did that today. I was lazy and sold mine for 140. She took two inventory full of turnips to an island with a 550 price and made a few million.
Also some of the nook island tour islands can make you lots of money. There are money rock islands with a guaranteed 80k and scorpion islands that spawn infinite scorpions which sell for a lot when you fill an inventory with them. Doesn't matter if you get stinged they just keep spawning.
You can also convert any nook island into a scorpion island by cutting down all trees and getting rid of all the flowers and weeds.
