Originally posted by Technologist I had a friend in HS that was driving drunk with his cousin in the passenger seat. They wrecked, and my friend came to when his cousin was taking his last breath. It's really weird like I had this friend in highschool and his brother was my lil bro's friend and he totally crashed the car while high or something... and his brother died.. and nothing happened to him, his brother died and he came back to school acting like nothing happened. pretty much everyone quit talking to him, it was pretty messed up.. -

I made mistakes too. But they didn't endanger my life or the life of others. Except maybe hydro but that's a different kind of mistake.
I've never drove drunk in my life. No excuse for it. I literally got arrested at 16 trying to avoid drivers ed because i was drunk. Smart drinking in school? Yes absolutely super intelligent. But at least I didn't put anyone else in danger, just myself.
Yes, people are allowed to make mistakes. But mistakes have consequences. 7yrs is pretty harsh tho. Texas is a piece of shit state ruled by the prison industry. They have one of the highest incarceration rates in Americs. -

Actually he was a pretty cool guy and had a popular band downtown as a drummer. They knew what they were doing, they sold a lot of drugs but at the same time were good people. I've kept in contact with him because he was really chill. Even the girls parents didn't want him to go to prison and just chalked it up to her being kinda like him.. their were like two peas in a pod and they were actually pretty bright people and friendly just really lived fast -

Idk if he was friendly, chill, or otherwise a good guy.
You drink and drive you are a selfish piece of shit. Maybe he isn't anymore, but risking other people's lives just to get somewhere is an incredibly shit thing to do, and only done by pieces of shit.
Similar is happening with corona -
2020-05-20 at 1:14 PM UTCits just another nanny state cash grab and feel-good punishment, tired people and cell phone people crash all the time and you dont get on your mule about that because you like to tow the line like a good little follower of the corporate elite

look hoss... i'll agree with you on the drinking and driving but the guy wasnt drunk he was just on meth.. but a little over a year ago I came back from a bar in my hood and I got rear ended which technically in texas law isn't my fault but I feel like it was my fault pulling out to soon, I'm pretty sure the driver that hit me was drunk also but yeah after that I haven't driven drunk since then
idk its weird people like chzboogerz and soccer moms in my area will totally run over you sober.. lmao.. women need to have their rights taken away. I was biking a year ago and this fucking lady almost fucking killed me and I swerved out of the way and i she test driving and suv and i went up to the window and was like "WTF" and she never sorry, she kept saying "I didn't you see you there" over and over again so i kicked the review mirror of the suv she was test driving and told her she probably shouldn't be driving because she's a bimbo. -

Originally posted by WellHung It was partly tongue-in -cheek. I get it , the dude is definitely more in the wrong, and made a really bad decision. He deserved to go to prison…he was moreso responsible. I just think 7 years is too long for an accident. There was no intent.
No you made a very valid point, If you get in/on a vehicle with a drunk..then per the personal responsibility rule you are to blame for your own death, sure he's in the wrong too but ultimately you are dead because of your decision...not his. -
2020-05-20 at 1:38 PM UTCNo it's everyones fault whats with the total you're a big cavalier attitude

yeah i feel really bad for the guy and the others that went thru similar shit, because the passenger was always almost a fuck up too.
A year a go this girl I was seeing left austin her son and she was always on trazadone / seroquel ect.. and she flipped her car going to killien with her son in it, but the 7 year old kid didn't have a say in the matter. luckily none of them were hurt. -
2020-05-20 at 1:41 PM UTCOf course in faggot USA these days it's the barman's fault too for selling them the drinks...SMH as the exquisitely beautiful DTE would say.
