Technology makes humans lazy and lose skills...technology although convenient for most people probably isn't good overall.

Back in the old days most people knew how to do things like build a home/furniture/tools, hunt for food, cook said food etc..even in more relatively modern times not so long ago fixing your own car, doing your own plumbing etc was a thing that was common rather than these days a rarity.

As has been highlighted during the current "outbreak" having skills yourself rather than relying on technology will be the difference between survival and death when the shit really does hit the fan.

I remember years ago reading an article about The Americans getting hold of a Mig29 (I think that was the model) fighter jet and at first "laughing" at the ancient valve technology it employed rather then microchips...then they realized it was designed that way to survive an EMP attack, the Russian jets would still be flying with valves whereas the US jets would be grounded with fried electronics.
