Examples of what happened here.
1. They were given $1000 debit cards. After they looked at where they were being spent they were used a places like titty bars, game rooms, massage Spas, bars etc.
2. They were living in the Astrodome and had an 11pm curfew after which they'd be locked out for the night. So after returning from the titty bar and found themselves locked out they were on the local news whining about how it wasn't right that they were locked out...again zero personal responsiblity.
3. Crime in Houston went up by a huge percentage, thefts, burglaries, cars stolen, assaults etc. to the point many local businesses and Apartment complexes hired security guards.
etc etc.
Again, to solve a problem/find the "blame" you go to the route of said problem..which was the dumb fucks not getting out when they were told too.
When Hurricane Harvey came through Houston a couple of years ago it was business as usually a few weeks later.
