I was planning on having a "sober" night tonight, but tossing and turning for hours, unable to achieve slumber, I ended up taking the following:
1. Mirtrazapine (a type of antidepressant that, as a side effect, induces drowsiness).
2. Propranolol (beta blocker: lowers blood pressure).
3. Diphenhydramine (antihistamine: for allergies mostly, but tends induce drowsiness as a side effect; only took 50mg).
4. Some melatonin and valerian root.
5. Half a Xanax bar (like 1mg?).
6. About 400ml of scotch.
Still not tired, yet, tho.
When I get high/drunk, I think I mostly self-medicate for insomnia.

I'm about to add another 50mg of diphenhydramine, ~100ml more of scotch, and some more melatonin.
First, though, Imma take some sublingual CBD oil. I'm not much into THC/cannabis, but the pure CBD stuff might induce some sleepiness without the THC buzz (I have an aversion when it comes to THC - but that's a whole other barrel of monkeys).
Then I'll have some mac n cheese and maybe jerk off once or twice, then maybe I will achieve that most coveted of vices; sleep.

Melatonin, I've been taking it for a few months. It would out me to sleep but give me creepy dreams. Now it will make me drowsy but i just go into a state of half sleep for like ten minutes at a tyme
