So Republicans actually want welfare now

Evidently there is a partisan effort to send every American a check to help with everything shutting down.

Folks, in other countries this is called MANDATORY SICK PAY. It ensures that you don't go hungry or lose your home because you got sick.

But here in America we have to enact a state of emergency to help our people. Remember when Trump said it wasn't a big deal and that it would just blow through? Now he is here pushing for what is almost certainly preparation for a quarantine?

    Yeah... this shit is serious.

Also taxes aren't due for another 90 days now. July 15th it should be.

The great part is I already have like a thousand hours of sick leave saved up if I need it. I don’t need this money whatsoever. As soon as it comes in I’m putting it straight into crypto shekels because fuck the government and fuck the economy

We have unemployment insurance, why not use that? I don't get it.

Everyone who voted for trump will obviously choose to take a stand against socialism and donate all proceeds to the Border Wall Fund

yeah they closed my shift at the factory for tonight and said they might fire the new people last night. My dad said trump will give relief to people like me until they fix this. I went to heb right before they shut down early and spoke to the mgmt about doing temp work as my lil brother said they are highering temps to stock the shelves. They said to apply online but they don't need me at the store in my hood. It kinda sucks because I'm struggling with money, my little brother is an accountant for an attorney and he's working at home until may 1st. shit is so gay. my dad just told me that its people like me that like to ram cocks inside weird asses and drink and "socialize" that you're gonna mess this up for everyone.. and I was like okay boomer.. and he was like "do whut?"

Not everyone can afford this you fucking retard. This is not "awww u shulda prepared better"

The alternative to welfare here is millions of people going without food or being able to pay rent or bills. People will fucking riot and chaos will break out. There have ALREADY been riots here in America.

He’s the smartest genius ever to be elected president you fucking retard. He’s the one who gives advice, not the other way around. If he thinks socialism is the way to go, we should all be getting on board

I don't get sick leave for 90's days and only if I show up everyday on time and I've only been where I'm at for 2 weeks.

Funny how now it's going to be 'Trump helped us'

when really all he's doing is possibly unfucking the problem that his party created in the first place. Nobody is worried about paying the bills in Norway even as the whole country is on shut down.

You people do understand it will be illegal with penalty of up to six months prison time if you are caught breaking quarantine right? It's going to be happening very soon.

are you working full-time now? I thought you were doing shift work

though those conditions are pretty fucked, they pretty much only exist so companies can choose not to pay out

There is no mandatory sick leave even for salaried employees. They usually do have it but it's usually like a week or two of paid time off and you'd be lucky to have even that honestly.

So many people are part time workers working like 37h so they don't hit that 38h full time status, or whatever your local definition of full time is anyway. This way they don't have to offer you anything. This is why so many Americans work two jobs.

30 hours to be considered for benefits.

How many hours is full time for health insurance?
Current APA guidelines dictate that employers who have 50 or more full-time or equivalent employees must provide Affordable Health Care coverage to meet the minimum guidelines. The ACA does define employees who are working at least 30 hours each week or 130 hours per month to be considered full-time.

I thought it was 32, but they changed it to 30.

Yep. And fools like Bill Krozby vote for idiots like Trump who continue to fuck Americans like him in the ass with policies like this.

Absolutely amazing how right leaning our entire political landscape is that people are duped into thinking shit like this is communism when it's really just very basic social welfare that any first world nation should have.

But wow isn't trump great for offering to unfuck us for once? I sure know my cook friend had a great time worrying about whether or not he was going to be homeless when his job shut down.

Yeah I'm sure most employers jump at the chance and that's why paid time off is so common in America across all industries

    oh
