Not really. Hitler likely believed that on net he was a force for good in the world, as any real life villain does. The man was not fond of war. He'd experienced it first hand in its most unpleasant forms. So he probably didn't think he was doing something perfectly moral. So he did what he could, what "must be done" for the greater good. The world is imperfect, and maybe there is no perfectly moral solution to a problem - murdering someone in self-defense is still murder, but how much of a scolding do you deserve for not finding the more moral solution in which nobody dies? Hitler was misguided and thought he was in a self-defense situation. "Evil for evil's sake" is practically mythological.
Serial killers (and not even all of those) and Billy Mitchell are pretty much the only people doing evil for transparently evil reasons like self-satisfaction and self-glorification. Hitler didn't gas the jedis because they kept him out of art school an he wanted revenge on an entire people, he gassed the jedis because he thought he had to, to protect Germany. Misguided. The road to hell, etc etc.
