wow what a difference 20 yrs makes quake is the longest supported game of all time

   i cannot think of any other game that has been changed via mods and enhancements and custom maps post release like quake has. or has had support for that many years. only morrowind comes to mind but even that is limited like combat was never really fixed and the graphics only so much so. this is quake:
