Its weird that Family Video is still around

2020-01-29 at 2:11 AM UTCYou can now have a movie and pizza delivered to your house, which is cool as fuck for new releases if you'd rather pay like 4 bucks instead of pirate. They also for some reason sell CBD?? Its boldly advertised at the one here. 5 dollar jumbo slice of pizza with a drink, free rental when you sign up, CBD.
If only you could get cbd delivered as well -
2020-01-29 at 2:14 AM UTCIt's not weird.

I mean its kinda archaic to rent physical videos from a store. Like I said, you can just pirate the movies instead. Or stream them from a service much cheaper than renting.
They had to start selling pizza and cbd to make it as a business. Imagine if Dominos started renting movies. Its weird OK. Cool idea that obviously works but as far as I know there is nothing else like it. -
2020-01-29 at 2:37 AM UTCLeave family video alone ok.

2020-01-29 at 2:37 AM UTCThe Blockbusterās next to my place is still open. They donāt even rent videos anymore they basically converted into a trap house. Itās way less corporate now

Redbox has the advantage of basically being a vending machine. Low overhead.
Renting videos out of a brick and mortar store just isn't very profitable in the year of our lord 2020. People who would've rented in the past now have a lot more options. Most people who use a computer at home can pirate. Most people in general have Netflix, Hulu, etc, which have thousands of movies available.
The only reason to rent anymore is for the new releases, which is why redbox only has new shit and sells off older movies that dont get rented. But family video still has a sizeable selection. Mine still has a VHS rack. Its like walking into the past.
Like i said, the only reason they're around is because of their adaptations. Pizza and CBD are big businesses. The pizza and movie delivery thing is a fantastic idea. They will even return the movie with your next pizza. Its good incentive to keep ordering pizza and keep getting movies. -

Redbox has the disadvantage of ONLY having newer movies. Don't forget they rent games too, so some of that limited selection is also eaten up by game stock.
False. People rent movies to watch movies. Not everyone wants to see new releases. There's a sizeable demographic that prefers older movies that have already stood against the test of time.
Not everyone has Netflix, Hulu, etc, nor does Netflix, Hulu, etc have every movie.
They've always had pizza. You can get pizza and CBD from any gas station, as well as a movie from the redbox up front of most gas stations.
You keep saying 'piracy' too like that isn't a niche thing to do. -
2020-01-29 at 12:23 PM UTCYet, they remain the only video rental place remaining. Blockbuster fell because it couldn't adapt.
And no, they didn't always have pizza. You must be a newfag.
