   It lasted less than two weeks with the ordinance we had 30 years ago. At the time it was part of the 6th largest standing army in the world. In the first 7 days of the campaign we flew something like 187,000 sorties with mostly JDAM modified "dumb" bombs before we put boot one on the ground. When we did put boots on the ground entire battalions and regiments surrendered willingly. While Saddam's Republican Guard was not among these troops the resistance they mounted was futile and swept aside in less than two weeks after we hit the dirt. Iran's forces are not even on par with what Iraq had then and what we have now would kick the shit out of what we had then.
