I bet §m£ÂgØL was using his mommas car until she got sick of it smelling like anal leakage.

After crying to her enough about being an adult, she broke down and bought him a $2k honda civic with only 33 payments of $60. She probably rationalized that its a great way for her to build credit.

I’m trying to decide on a car right now. Might make a thread about it.

Can’t decide whether the more “adult” decision would be to

    A) buy a cheaper used car
    B) Do a carmax type thing and get a more expensive car with monthly payments

And then the second part of the question for me is whether I should get

    A) Something more economical with low repair costs- like the 2018 Hyundai Sonata
    2) Since statistically this is the last car I’ll own before I die, it’d be nice to have something I enjoy driving, ie- Chevy Silverado or Dodge Challenger

    Thots?

I’ve got like 15k to my name and my job pays absolute shit.

He mentioned like a week ago not having insurance and not wanting to drive without it so he either got insurance or always plans to drive with his properly insured mommy.

if you buy a new hyundai sonata you should trade it in for a skateboard. Fucking shit cars that are horribly unsafe and have no balls and are a fucking hyundai sonata. Kia tier rice wagons. Silverados are alright for sure, dont get a ford. What about an acura TL or something that arent terrible but you get miles off (although parts arent the cheapest)? Im gettin a truck in the spring, fucking americans can buy cars in december and not feel theyre just salting and rusting and reducing the value of it right away

Hyundais are some of the highest rated sedans for safety and mpg? I wouldn’t have bought one 20 years ago but I think the new ones look nice.

Muffins said post-2000s Fords are some of the most dependable cars...like on par with Hondas.

I don’t think that looks too bad. I mean if insurance cost, leg room (I’m huge), repair cost and mpg weren’t also concerns, I’d get a truck or challenger/charger hands down. It just seems like a decent compromise instead of buying some shitty secondhand car on craigslist for $4k and then having to do another $2k of ma8ntainence over the next couple years

It's called getting new cars and not being insured. There are now 6 at my house.

Don't trust carmax. They lie. I know someone in court with them now for lying about an accident on a vehicle they purchased.

It’s not that I trust carmax. Their interest rates are just lower than me getting an auto loan or a new car, and over the span of a 5 year lease, the car is only $1200more than kbb for private sale

And it would mean that I wouldn’t have to spend every dollar I have right now for a semi-new car

Basically my choice is between what kind of car, and whether I should go cheap/cash, auto loan/paid in full, or financed

Fuck no. If the sonata looked like the tiburon you couldn’t pay me to drive it.

I just think the new body style has nice lines like a Lexus or other mid tier luxury car. And it and the Kia Optima are one of the only sedans that will actually accommodate my long ass legs. I really don’t want to crash another car.

Again you literally have no idea how any of this works because you don't have the full story. Last new car was months ago. I was driving with general insurance on the vehicle without my name on it, which meant I could be denied coverage.

Not surprised that you jump to assumptions as a fake muslim. Religious people tend to create their own 'reality'

You really care what it looks like? I mean I used to drive a minivan and it was ugly but damn do they have a lot of room. And the backup camera was nice.

I used to have a c300 that had massive amounts of leg room but thats probably inefficient.

I guess if you want a sonata go for it. My mom had a shitty old one when I was a kid and wrote it off. My buddy had an elantra and rolled it going down a hill and probably should have sued hyundai for it. If youre goin hyundai the only one I dont mind is a santa fe and they also likely have a good amount of room. Theyre good on gas too for a little SUV and you can take the kids to soccer practice in it.

You have to be insured before you drive off the lot in my state and I think that’s the case in most states.
