Currently I work 2nd shift and I have rides to and from work everyday pretty much guaranteed. (hasn't failed yet)
And I am in a position to make a move and pick up a better paying position on 3rd shift. The only thing is that I won't have rides at first and I honestly don't know anyone on 3rd shift very well. It might be a while (if ever) before I get a ride.
Now this job is going to be nicer and pay me more but what is the dollar figure I gotta drop for taking the dirty bus everyday, having to wait in snow and rain, and showing up on bus time?
Bus pass costs $55 a month.
Id have to take 2 buses but if they are running on time I dont see much issue other than the fact its the bus.
Now keep in mind hopefully I will be getting my license back and if I get a car I would be able to take myself to work.
This is still probably going to take a couple months minimum.
Or I could just try and keep the job I have or at least a job on my shift.
I dunno what to do.
I make $11.90 an hour right now. I work no overtime. Just 40 hours.
I won't consider changing shifts without a raise or something sweet.
Im trying to be realistic though.
Say they offer me $1. Well thats like $160 a month BEFORE TAXES.
So with taxes lets just say I get to keep $100 of it.
Well $55 went to riding a bus all month long.
Id be making $45 extra a month but it would be a nicer job (sorta).
What the fuck should I do???

Also note I pay someone $20 a week to take me to and from work each day.
That is $80 which is more expensive than the bass pass.
So even though it would only be $45 dollars, it would be kinda more like $70 if you do the math.

even $160 extra a month is really not that much. I'm not trying to be condescending or anything but I wouldn't put a whole lot more effort in for that kind of payrise
