This is true. It’s a running joke with many Americans that stuff made in China is cheap crap. Usually their small “trinket type” stuff always breaks. I can’t count how many times I broke things and I’d look at who the manufacturer was, and it’d say “Made in China” on the bottom. I’d always say, “figures”. Made in China is crap. -

Exactly. Nobody says quality stuff can't come from China, but they dont have the quality control that countries with actual manufacturing standards do. There's a reason everything on Wish comes from China and not Mexico or Vietnam or other countries a lot of our cheap goods are made. -

mostly just because China has the infrastructure and manufacturing capacity. no idea about Mexico but Vietnam certainly doesn't have higher standards.
really, you get what you pay for. from my experience you're able to get stuff from china that's at a similar level to domestic manufacture for half to 2/3 of the price -

Also we produce only high quality goods. Your anecdotal experience, which is probably a lie, does not discount the everyday stuff from Mexico that Americans and people worldwide use.
My parents bought a set of pots and pans from Mexico when they got married 30+yrs ago and its all in great condition. Still in daily use.
Kill yourself beaner. Keep getting fatter like the rest of your people do and die. -

Historically it should be way worse off than it is. Serbs are usually pretty cool people, unlike beaners. Rather have serbs sneaking into the country than beaners any day. Hell even the people from the congo sneaking in are better than mexicans. -

Vietnam meets many ISO standards. They have much higher standards than China and that's why a lot of textile, electronics, and plastic production is moving there. China does not even try to meet these standards because they know people will buy their stuff anyway, as they're the cheapest game in town.
This quality, along with respecting international IP rights, is why the EU has a free trade agreement (EVFTA) with Vietnam. Manufacturing is about to hit a big boom there. It's still relatively small now.
Mexico has a similar thing with NAFTA/USMCA. China is kind of a rogue agent in this regard as all of their trade deals are economic and they refuse to implement any changes that are pressured internationally. They like doing things their way. -

thats the thing, americans never get what they paid for, every 'crap' they bought was sold to them at a insanely jacked up margin.
the very same china good that is being sold in india for a hundred rupee is being sold in the US for a $20.
even in my 3rd world country things that came from china are being sold at ±10 times their cost, and sometimes more. -
