   IP based bans aren't worth shit nowadays. Part of the problem is ipv4 exhaustion - which means more and more users are being stuck together on the same IP address with NAT being used to separate out their traffic. So it's basically a massive shoah.
   
   And most sites, including this one, don't support ipv6.
