Is my life over? Has it begun? The Christian notion of purgatory seems satisfactory in description of my state. Perhaps it is not such a question of contemplating my ills as choosing a path. I am want to consider heaven and hell earthly states. The polarity of enlightenment. Ultimate darkness and ultimate light. Both are eternal and souls are destined to spend eternity in its designated state. But it is given a chance in purgatory. It is given a chance to consider its path. Which path does it take?
Perhaps these are simply drunken ramblings.

You're over thinking all of this. There is no heaven, hell, or afterlife. Life is a small process that some get to experience. It is pointless, but has it's ups and downs. Try to do something and you'll be happier.
