   With the ever escalating protests going on in Hong Kong and the new US Hong Kong Policy Act violence is expected to reach new heights as the celebrations in mainland China take place.
   
   If China was really smart, they would order a general stand down of all policing and military forces on the day of the anniversary. Offer a general amnesty to everyone of the protesters that has so far been imprisoned or is pending trial. Not only would it be good optics they'd pull the rug from underneath the more radicalized elements of the protestors. If i was Chairman Xi Jinping i'd say: Alright... A general amnesty since we're in such a festive mood, no strings attached. However, if there's unrest after we've offered clemency, it's to the gulag with you.
