This is happening all over the USA.. worse in the Bay Area but becoming worse in places like Atlanta Ga (The largest Tech cluster in the Deep South outside of Houston)
She got evicted but because new technology has allowed background checks to go back forever, the one eviction due to late payment on rent makes it nearly impossible for her to find a house without a credit check that she will fail.
so she finds one guy who said he won't do a credit check but the house is falling apart. her kid was washing dishes and shocked the shit out of himself.
It's fucked up because her husband left her and she's a single mom. She's not a Baby Mama, she works for a living. she's not trying to suck off the system. she has a Job but it doesn't pay her enough to live where she grew up.
This sounds very familiar to us in California which is everywhere now. First NYC and LA and then San Francisco, now Seattle, Atlanta and so on. fuckers coming in and pricing locals out.
