    Correct...as mentioned actual talent...again the schooling plays little to no part in that. There is NOTHING you learn in school which you can't learn yourself (except maybe where the restrooms in said school are).

    My report at work thinks she's a professional photographer (despite working for the company). Has a fancy camera - her photos are objectively terrible. Photography is a stereotypical spoilt kid career choice.

    it amazes me how many white people come here with expensive dslrs hung around their neck and yet most of those cameras have fewer pixels than an equally priced smart phones.

    Number of pixels don't really decide camera quality any more.

    I do despise SLR toting tourists though.

    I'm hoping to do some photography in the ivory coast though, yes I am conscious I will probably get my camera jacked.

    I bought a €200 Canon SLR, but honestly may just use an iPhone or a cheap android instead. Phone cameras are pretty good right now.
