   Pregnant by her own father for the second time, 16-year-old Claireece "Precious" Jones (Gabourey Sidibe) can neither read nor write and suffers constant abuse at the hands of her vicious mother (Mo'Nique). Precious instinctively sees a chance to turn her life around when she is offered the opportunity to transfer to an alternative school. Under the patient, firm guidance of her new teacher, Ms. Rain (Paula Patton), Precious begins the journey from oppression to self-determination.

   All in all this was a good movie, i think its based on a true story (not surprised)
   
   If you have an issue with niggers (especially the sheboon type breed) i implore you to watch this movie because it might change your mind about them
   
   My heart goes out to colored people in this situation

   Mariah Carey played the welfare worker at the end who tried to look frumpy but failed because she's Mariah freakin Carey

   I liked it although some parts were hard to watch. It reminded me of "The planet of junior brown" which was a Canadian tv movie from like 30 years ago that was kind of similar
