We actually have pretty nice homeless housing/facilities/services around here. The city even put up signs at all the popular panhandling corners with phone numbers to call if you need resources. He has everything he would need to make himself presentable and all the resources to help him get a job if he wanted one. He has flat out admitted that he is not “able” to work a job, though I have worked with him on other projects and seen that he is fully capable both mentally and physically. Instead, he chooses to spend his free time at the park playing his guitar and editing videos on his laptop. -

2019-08-17 at 4:09 PM UTCWhat pissed me off royally one time was this 40 year old black woman came over and gave me the schpiel that her EBT card ran out and she's pregnant with two babies and just trying to go get supper at a mid level diner down the street and I'm almost like fuck you. She accidentally said the brand name of my coat at one point and was like "Oh..oh" with these side to side lying eyes when I said I didn't have my wallet after 5 minutes of this. She wasn't drugged up or looking like a typical homeless either with was weird, just a decetiful cunt.
What really made me angry with her was that her 'EBT card ran out' so she wants 15 dollars to go buy a SINGLE MEAL at a diner instead of... you know, 5 days worth of food from the grocery store. Fuck you so much get better at lying, you don't deserve a home -

People like that don't cook because it requires effort and using your brain a bit. I know many grown adults with no sense of how to use anything in a kitchen and would likely starve if they didn't have access to restaurants, microwaves and ready to eat foods. Fuck, people are so lazy about food/cooking now that they literally get cheap ass Taco Bell and McDonalds delivered to their HOUSE because driving to the place and sitting on their ass in the car is too much work. -

I don't know that I'm "better" than them since that's subjective but I certainly have better work ethic and motivation than people like that and probably a better sense of pride since I can prepare a quality meal from scratch without needing to pay someone to do every bit of the work for me.
Cooking is a basic survival skill and too many people act like it's some exotic special talent that's far beyond their capabilities.
