First off, likely there has already been a breakaway civilization to have left earth and settled on some far off distant planet, that's a real possibility.
By the 2030s space exploration will begin.
If the US collapses China and India will be the countries to be exploring the cosmos.
I don't want a one world government with nations deprived of sovereignty, however, there will need to be an international organization for the governments of the world to get together to come to agreements over matters that concern all of earth, this will not be the UN.
With above said, the Moon will probably become a military base with certain regions designated as tourist spots.
Mars will be used for scientific installations where they'll do various research projects, could also be mined for resources and materials.
I can't imagine a single country taking claim of a planet or part of it in this solar system, that would lead to too many potential conflicts.
Space wars will most likely be between the totalitarian world government and people in space trying to stop them/break free.
If humanity doesn't die out/is destroyed then in the next century I could see people creating a series of habitable planets somewhere near our solar system, that would solve overpopulation.
Building planets makes more sense than attempting to find "natural" ones.

If you google "first man in space" it still comes up Yuri Gagarin, which I'm sure most of you know by now isn't true. It's a great example though of how history is manipulated and millions of kids are educated with incorrect facts.

The Russians sent like 7 men up into space before Gagarin but they all died and being it was the middle of the cold war etc they didn't advertise the fact, Yuri was the first one to survive but not the first one up there.

Javier Hernández
Javier Hernández Balcázar (Spanish pronunciation: [xaˈβjeɾ eɾˈnandez βalˈkasaɾ] (About this soundlisten);[a] born 1 June 1988) is a Mexican professional footballer who plays as a striker for Premier League club West Ham United and the Mexico national team. Hernández is commonly known by his nickname, Chicharito ([tʃitʃaˈɾito]; Mexican Spanish: little pea), which he wears on his shirt.
Hernández began his career in 2006, playing for Mexican club Guadalajara. In July 2010, he became the first Mexican player to join Manchester United, scoring 20 goals and winning the Premier League in his debut season. After falling out of favour under managers David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, he spent the 2014–15 season on loan at Real Madrid. In August 2015, Hernández signed for Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. After two seasons in Germany, Hernández returned to the Premier League and joined West Ham United. His minutes-per-goal ratio is among the most prolific in the history of the Premier League.[4]
A Mexican international, Hernández is the country's all-time leading goalscorer. He made his debut for the national team in September 2009 in a friendly match against Colombia. He has represented Mexico at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup, the 2014 FIFA World Cup, the Copa América Centenario, the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup. He was the 2011 Gold Cup's top scorer with seven goals and was named the most valuable player of the tournament.
