The doctor could legally force the parent to comply and seize the child by law and enforce the doctor's opinion. The doctor's opinion is not just moot, it actually carries weight. They are leveraging their authority to make $$$.

What country do you live in North Korea? lolol

If I'd have listened or been "forced" by my doctor/Surgeon a few years ago I'd be missing a limb now as he wanted to amputated it..I said no, lets try to save it..I still have the limb and it's 100% again..he said he doesn't understand how I didn't lose it as 99.5% of people would have and he was going to write a paper on it.

"Well obviously I'm the .5% and because I didn't let you chop it off motherfucker".

If you don't do as your doctor says they can cut off your meds, make it harder for you to get meds (including needed pain relief) in the future, and if you are ill deny you access to good medical care or advice.

    It's a psychopathic profession.

It's worth mentioning that Britain's #1 killer was a doctor, and despite numerous complaints from relatives of the deceased was acquitted each time by the medical council - he was only caught due to a very brave and persistent lawyer bringing the police in.

That doesn't apply to opiates..or other pain relievers. doctors are also 10 a penny, if one cuts you off you go to another.

In the United States and Canada, too, malpractice is the #1 leading cause of all deaths. Even cancer comes in way below. Most people have no idea how incompetent and corrupt these clowns really are. You go in with some kind of minimal issue, and you come out dead.

Yes it does. And I was in a position once where I was in desperate pain, but unable to afford to see another doctor. I had cancer, and she told me I had a flu.

I never got my money back btw.
  7. I guess if you let your government pay your medical bills as in the UK then they have a greater say in what treatment you get and don't get.

    That's not how it works.

I lived in the UK for 30yrs..I know it's FAR easier here in the US to get a doctor than in the UK, Here if you don't like one you go get another. The same day..10 a penny, I'm the customer as well as the patient here.

I like how they call it the Hippocratic oath. Ironic. It's way more like the Hypocritical oath.

Well, here, if you have a job, or are a student, you get to pay, and they treat you like shit as well.

I was a student. It was Christmas, and as I remember, I was able to spend some Christmas money on getting a second opinion.

That's why the they push so hard to get the leg amputated, because once it's gone, nobody can prove it would have been fine.

Yeah, if they're on your insurance.

I was looking for an endontist because of a fucked up tooth and there are literally two options and one is an hour and a half away. TONS of specialists around me but I cant go to those.

You never know how well you got it until it's gone. We got bought out and I knew I was way overpaid. The new owner asked me how much I get paid today. I think I am going to have to negotiate my new salary, fuck! I had it good.
