    Wigger, please.

The rolling vibrations of a subwoofer are literal ecstacy.

Speaking of which, that reminds me of this one time I went camping a couple years ago and this chick popped some E (MDMA for younger folks) into my mouth on a hungover Saturday morning way out in the boonies.

Then homeboy turns the system on.

I have downloaded audio on my phone so I connect and start throwing down some jams.

The vibrations of a low-frequency, basseous source... while peaking on MDMA... it's literally the best thing ever.

depends on what your listening to.

theres nothing like listening to an ochestra and listen to that cello drag thru a pair of stereo subwoofers.

A few years ago I had two 12" Audiobahn subwoofers that I got used off of craigslist for $80 (for the pair).

I also managed to find a speaker box for the two of 'em at a chain store for super cheap because it wasn't quite perfect (had some kind of imperceptible flaw).

I also managed to find a deck for relatively cheap by looking around for sales.

And then (and this was the most expensive part of all), I found a cheap amp for sale. I know I should have spent more on a more quality amp… That's what it all ultimately comes down to… But I got the subwoofers for $80 and the box for $50… So I settled for a $250 amp. I can't even remember the brand/manufacturer. All I remember is that I made sure that it was rated for 1,000 watts RMS (wired at 1 ohm). I honestly don't even remember what RMS stands for, but I remember my research telling me it was the most important evaluative metric for an amplifier.

Finally, I got all the cables and other miscellaneous parts I would need from various online vendors. I even got… I wanna say 2 gauge… but it's been like 4 years and I can't remember all the specs as well as I'd like. But I knew that having 2 x 400 watts, it was gonna take some quality electrical wiring (nice and thick… that's what she said).

I put it all together myself to save yet more money. It was by no means easy (for someone like me with next to no experience installing car audio… I had a quasi-decent system back in '03, but a high school friend helped me out… well, he pretty much did it all).

And then… a friend of mine, doing that natural male thing that dude's do, went out and outdid me within a few weeks by getting two 12" JL7's, and some top-end 6x9's, and the whole nine yards… and he got it all professionally installed. It cost him about $15,000 total (compared to my ~$750 total - excluding (my own personal) labor), but it did blow my shit RIGHT OUT of the water.

    Not a bad setup, actually.
