Should I get the imac with an i3 then?
I'll be doing music production (renoise), video editing (home movies in 1080p) and programming. -
2019-05-20 at 1:14 PM UTCthe only thing that's likely to be performance intensive is the video editing, and most of that will get handed off to the video card assuming you have a dedicated GPU anyway. an i3 will probably do you fine if you have enough RAM

Once the tax returns come in I'll have like $900, which is enough for the mac mini with an i3 but I would rather get the imac which does have a dedicated gpu. -
