Pretty much the same here...
Actually, I learned about a few local underground rappers while smoking weed in the back seat of some cars.
Necro, though, I remember from, like, the only friend I had as a teenager who had his own place. Most teenagers have parents, but somehow he got his own place in East Vancouver, and he used to throw these enormous parties. To this day (over 15 years later), some of the biggest house parties I've ever been to.
That's when/where I discovered Necro... It was that "All Hotties Eat the Jizz" track.

It evokes all kinds of memories of dozens of people scattering and booking it from the cops. Then like an hour later I came back, and we'd smoke some weed, have a few drinks, and watch a movie or something.
Then Saturday morning comes around and we'd break out the Bacardi 151 and the hot knives.
I don't smoke much weed lately, but back in the day it was a major part of my day-to-day life.
But hot knives... and shot after shot of 151... in the morning...
It was like living life with some kind of cheat code enabled... Being ~18 and all.
Not a care in the world...
I miss that.

Oh, and I just remembered... I actually saw Necro live once... Completely by accident too.
It was Halloween of 2017.
I went to the local bar (by myself) after a few drinks, and was circulating, talking to pretty much everyone. Then I ran into a gal that worked at the nearby liquor store who recognized me as a regular customer.
She said she was just about to head over to the club (ONLY NIGHT CLUB IN TOWN around here). I hopped in the cab with her.
It turned out it was Necro performing.
I figured it out by recognizing his voice (he has a distinctive voice).
