Maybe you guys were on at a later time to me. Things generally go to shit, as opposed to recover from shit.

I think I was mostly on in Winter 2002 btw. I did most downloading at college, at the then lightning fast speed of 100-150kpbs. By 2003 I had dropped out from the course. It was about 2006 by the time I got broadband at home, it was something massive, like 250kbps. Pages loaded almost instantly.

I remember trying to download 25 megabytes over dial up. It's was a GTA 2 freeware or something. I remember it was a fucking nightmare to download, and I don't even remember playing the actual game.

I remember same thing with Kazaa/ Limewire era. Your download depended on the number of "sources" online.

I.e. how many sources, "peadophiles", were masturbating at any given time who happened to have the file you needed.

I think I'm older than you, but I kinda feel likewise.

I was always unhealthy (meaning fat and unfit) and nerdy and never got along well with my contemporaries.

And I hated them too, for being basically dumb and not worth any sort of loyalty.

Though I have kinda revised my opinions lately, and feel sorry for not giving the people I grew up with more of a chance.

I may have underlying psychological issues of either NOT experiecing MORE of what I wanted for that era, or I hate the fact my Gen has transitioned to T-shirt stage/ Let's have kids and brag how we'll lived/ survived.
