I had a spider plant that grew like crazy. I’d have to thin it out frequently. I’d give away a lot of sprouts. My spider plant has children everywhere!

I always snipped off the shoot that the sprouts grow on. It seemed to have given up.
I wonder if I should split the plant up? It seems to have two main stems now.
I don't know where all the soil that was in the vase went, I guess it got compacted, it was full of soil when I planted.

The plant took all the nutrients out of the soil. Definitely split them up. It won’t hurt the plant, spider plants are very hearty. Jus tear it in half, and pot it. You definitely need new soil full of nutrients!
