Explain the meaning of Meme

   I'm told a real Meme isn't just a funny caption.
   
   It might be something that makes 0 sense to people outside of the loop or inside Joke
   
   
   but imgflip is mostly just humorous captions of how they see the photo depicted. is this a true meme. To just caption what you see or is it more of a simple meme
   
   How does one explain the true nature of a meme. Yes I can wiki search it, but how would you explain it?
   
   
   A typical imgflip Meme. A somewhat funny caption. but captions are just jokes. is it actually a meme in the true sense?

   funny thing about memes 7 years ago or so my daughters mom when pregnant taught me what a meme was, I knew what they were but I didn't know thats what they were called, i pronounced it *me-me*

   what is rage comics?
   
   I used to go into a store in Berkeley or San Francisco (I think it was street lights) where they had an adult comic book section called Comix.
   
   the classic Robert Crumb and Obligatory Gilbert Sheldon (both worked at Hallmark in Ohio for several years, at the same time, and sat next to each other but never talked or new each other only to go on to becoming friends when they both moved to San Francisco around the same time. Robert was from Ohio and Sheldon from I believe Houston.
   
   those were the magazines I would read in my teen years. I was listening to Joseph Gordon-Levitt on NPR radio out of Berkeley (my girlfriend listens to it and someone from her Buddhist group works there) and he was talking about living in Berkeley and his father running an adult comix store or something and how as a kid he would read them. but of course this would be late 80s or early 90s for him and for me mid 70s. I wonder if its the same store tough.

   Someone I know apparently knows the guys in LA who started this. I think I read something about one of them being from the county I was living in.
   
   
   there was one emoji that was done from a video I posted (gun to head.. I believe the guys who drew the famous emoji started this goof.. unless it's another rage face webpage)
   
   
   Also 24 Productions might be CIA owned.
