I rarely ever do anything physically, most of it is theory cause I don't normally get around to trying anything. I once bought 10 lbs of nitrate online and only got around to using some of it. Anyway, my question is, anybody ever try combining something like ETN with sodium acetate/nitrate 50/50 and try heating that gradually to get a full detonation rather than partial? I think you could maybe substitute some of the sodium or potassium nitrate with the ETN or MHN or something. Baking soda has a low melting point and could possibly prevent deflagration of the ETN. I know people used aluminum as a catalyst for cookoff detonation of ETN but they were mostly not getting full detonation if I recall correctly.
