Anyone buying this "Dark Overlord" 9/11 legal docs leak?

2019-01-07 at 9:13 PM UTCSo this bunch of fags that decided to take the most childish thing they could think of as a name for their hacker crew namely "The Dark Overlord" has been on a string of hacking escapades, stealing sensitive documents and such and demanding organizations pay up for their silence.
Here's a couple tips for the "vick timmy" inclined.
1. Don't negotiate with ransomers of any kind.
2. The data is already in the hands of multiple people.
3. Basically you're fucked if you do you're fucked if you don't; save some money while you're at it.
Well with that out of the way, their latest adventures have made headlines. Apparently they hacked an organization/institute with documents concerning 9/11 truth. They were trying to ransom the US Gov for i forgot how much money, but because the US Gov knows the rules i just posted they were shit out of luck. So they were like, 'hey guise, we still got these documents, how about we crowdfund the release? Let's say 3 BTC for 70mb, how about it?'
And the internet was like yeah sure, guess we have three BTC between the lot of us.

They're something to do with insurance files according to Motherboard. Now supposedly Larry fucking Kikenstein is mentioned in them which is no surprise considering just before the attacks he got the lease on the WTC complex and took out a multi billion insurance policy on the complex.
But eh, what do you think is going on? PsyOp? These guys certainly don't seem as proficient as a group such as the Shadow Brokers. If you ask me, they don't seem very APT'ish to me. -

It had crossed my mind that they might have been motivated by 9/11 truth after all, but they just needed to set up a cover story with an appropriate name and background to throw investigators off. But what do i know. -

double dipping. and when I talked to a United worker in my car about "wow, he had balls to do this" the worker was like "oh he had every right. our company even sent him an apology letter"

2019-02-17 at 6:19 AM UTCAlso, I've read a bit about the releases - they seem to be legitimate, but nothing interesting unless you want to know how insurance agencies operate in case of a huge incident like this.
DO claim to have graded the separate tranches, ie. they've given away free data to prove they actually have it, but won't release the more 'damning' stuff without getting paid progressively more. It's this that leads me to believe they have nothing significant (that they know of) because it's something like 80GB of data - without poring over all of it and analysing its contents, there's no way they'd be able to say what's 'important' and what's not. This is a small team of presumably young hackers too, so it's very unlikely that even if they were able to somehow go through all of the information that any of them have enough (US political and geopolitical) knowledge to interpret it in a reasonable way.
It's always possible I'm wrong, or that some of the information they have is more important than they know, but my belief is that they just have a shitload of administration and personal emails and are trying to tie it to popular 9/11 theories to drum up sales. -
