It's dark, cold, and fucking depressing.

Why is this not a more commonly referenced disorder?

It amazes me that it isn't considered a universal fact that Winter fucking sucks, not a so-called psychiatric disorder.

If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, just ignore this thread (and maybe bump it in six months if you want).

I find it interesting that SAD is a psychiatric disorder and not a physical one. The symptoms are psychiatric but the cause is lack of vitamins that are produced naturally by the sun in your body I thought?

Anyway, I’m with LaLa ... I would take winter over sweltering heat. Yuck!

I work the majority of my days in a windowless office and it has taken its toll on me in every way. Super cloudy days are particularly hard on me. The pressure fucks me up. However, I love the cold and bright snow ... it’s uplifting.

All the fuckers who live in places that don't get real winters are romanticising winter.

It gets bright here at about 8am, dark at 4.30pm Winter is cold, wet and dirty. You can't enjoy nature or even take a walk without having to find a balance between wearing enough so you don't get cold, but not so much you get sweaty. Everything in nature is hungry and dying.

If you never walked to the bathroom in the dark with a blanket around you still keeping in your warmth you do not know real comfort.

    Yes?

Sometimes I think you're like a space alien that only knows what "man" and "woman" mean from watching movies or something and has never run into a real life human being.

I take a 5000 IU tablet of vitamin D-3 every day. They are very reasonable at Sam's Club. I got like 4 times as many at like 1/4 the price they wanted at Walgreen's. I forget the exact figures, but I just remember thinking what a great deal they were.

put it in the bathroom.. the old infrared kind LOL they give off UV light too.. you can even get sunburned from them.

stand under it for 20 minutes.. then go beat off. you should be fine. at least 45-60 minutes a day cardio.

I love the winter. Actually I love living in a place that has 4 distinct seasons. I enjoy the change.

The suns always shining...you still get the benefit from it even on cloudy days...you just need to be out in it longer.
