What, do I just need to murder some people on the job to serve my country?I sir, John Sidney McCain the third, salutes to you. I understood why you didn't want any more medical treatment for cancer. Rest in peace. 🙏🍻
He "stopped treatment" like two days before he died lol, his "reason" was that treatment had failed.

Electrical failure is one of a few theories proposed in the actual report:
http://www.jag.navy.mil/library/investigations/USS%20FORRESTAL%20FIRE%2012%20AUG%2069%20PT%203.pdfLCDR B-6 may have triggered the firing of the ZUNI when he switched from external to internal electrical power by superimposing enough transient voltage upon existing stray voltage to fire the ZUNI
…
the CA42282 pylon electrical disconnect is of defective design that is susceptible to shorting by moisture
No disciplinary action was taken and the report explicitly says no misconduct by personnel is responsible for the missile firing. I'm sure you're going to say it's a coverup and thing that somehow magically invalidates the report. So what that leaves you with is zero evidence for McCaine being responsible, but I'm sure he was, cuz the jedis, right? Good fucking investigation right here. The famous guy is obviously guilty cuz the jedis! -

Hey, Banny -- McCain wasn't a celebrity. He was one of the American heroes who put his own well-being between you and your worst enemies.
But then you're too stupid to grasp the concept. -

Therefore the Snopes article is factually incorrect, and I was right to point it out.I'm sure you're going to say it's a coverup and thing that somehow magically invalidates the report. No WellHung, I am not jealous of the man who just died of brain cancer and whose death a good chunk of the public is now celebrating and joking about. What about that am I supposed to be jealous of?

He was some dude you never met whose name you know and you're now making threads about. That sounds like a celebrity to me.
I don't know who you think my "worst enemies" are but they sure as fuck aren't the North Vietnamese, those dudes haven't ever done anything to me except make me some dank sandwiches. He engaged in an illegal war and murdered civilians and revolutionaries trying to end a lengthy history of western exploitation. McCain, at very best, was a tool of modern slavers and a murderer. -

No, literally read to the end of the paragraph. "By itself" was immediately followed "However it would have been additive to any stray voltage ... and could have acted as a trigger". What, did you think I wasn't going to read that, or did you stop the second you saw something you liked? You must be hungover
Usually a pretty safe bet, it doesn't change the fact that you have zero actual evidence for your claim that McCain was responsible and an official investigation saying otherwise.

Yeah, so it wouldn't be enough, by itself.Usually a pretty safe bet, it doesn't change the fact that you have zero actual evidence for your claim that McCain was responsible and an official investigation saying otherwise.
Never even said I did. No one has any evidence about anything relating to the cause of the fire - other than eyewitness testimony - that whole area was burned. -

Right, in parallel with other electrical failures it would be enough, which is pretty reasonably summarized as "power surge may have been responsible". Mind you, it's one of a few hypotheses put forward and Snopes doesn't acknowledge this and probably should have. It doesn't change the fact that there's no evidence there anywhere of McCain being responsible. Which hey, maybe that's something we agree on. Let us celebrate our finding common ground with a drink.
