Should I?
I skipped out on both of them and since I have a job now I can afford to buy whatever I want.
I have never even TOUCHED a Wii I don't think, maybe at a kiosk yeaaarrrrs ago but not enough to remember at all and as for the Wii U I have never experienced that period.

Wii virtual console support got cut last year (this year?) so if you want to play the hits I would personally get a Wii u.
Most of the major Wii games have a somewhat different but fairly close and newer Wii u version anyway.
Although I haven't played Skyward Sword yet or BOTW yet, Twilight Princess is my favorite Zelda game, so if you get a Wii that's a no brianer. Ocarina is either equal or just a hair below to me, I can't decide.

Videogames are gay, but I always wanted to try Wii homebrew

I like the Wii U.
The big fail of the system was mostly the fact that it was markeded improperly. In it`s first reveil no one knew if it was a new controller or a new system. It`s a pretty nice little machine that will sadly become lost in time way to soon.
My brother has borrowed mine and my copy of Mario Maker now for over a year and still play it religiously.
