    LEDs..ooooooooooooooooooooh!

lol, buddy, I don't allow keyboards which cost less than $100 into my home. I'm not a big fan of LEDs on anything, they're just popular on nicer keyboards, I'll probably be turning them off. Why you being a hater?

3 small villages of chinks probably got cultural revolutioned to make this keyboard. It's the blood of the children that really adds the the finish.

They WISH their desktop to look a certain way.

Yea, I agree. I'd still buy one if I had a little more money to throw around though. Currently I need to save it all up for weed

Give them a chance, specially if the manufacturer has good software. My Strafe has an ass load of customisation options and I love it. I was initially reluctant but I started experimenting and I've been making lots of changes and tinkering, it's a lot of fun.

Ny WASD keys red and add a gentle yellow+orange shimmer on actuation.

QERFG keys are blue with a yellow and electric blue shimmer.

TYU are generally "text comms" buttons in most games so they are grouped as green.

    ZXC are light green/fuschia

V is a universal "voice communication" button and is purple. When actuated, it turns light green and extends a green semicircle as a visualiser for my voice input (displayed across the other keys' LEDs). This does not affect the aforementioned keys at all, it only propagates across the rest of the board, which is a sort of pulsing "waterfall" effect.

All that might sound gay but it feels like a small artistic expression built into my keyboard, and I think you'd have fun messing around with them.

Wisj keycaps wernt so expensive, want dem Cyrillic betabet on them.

I've never used topre switches before, from descriptions of them they sound really weird and unpleasant but I guess I can't really judge if I haven't used them before. The main thing that makes them a non-starter for me is that no one manufactures decent DSA or SA keycaps that are topre compatible and I'm all about those custom caps.

As far as laptop keyboards go I do like the design with the chassis running between the keys like you see on thinkpads or macbooks. Given you can't really have an acceptable level of travel and vertical taper on a laptop keyboard the space makes feeling the key positions easier, but the actual feel of each press is still pretty miserable IMO. I mean at least it's not this "butterfly" garbage apple is pushing these days but it still doesn't cut it for me.

2" thick is is a lot for a laptop, but honestly less than I expected it to be.

This kills me though, I have no idea why people keep making high end laptops and putting shit resolution displays on them. My mid-line consumer laptop from 8 years ago had a 1080 display. Especially at 18", the pixel density must be garbage.

in the gayming market, higher refresh rate is typical more popular than higher resolution, especially given it's a laptop with limited GPU resources and rendering to 4k takes exponentially more power

that said it doesn't seem to advertise a high refresh rate so it's probably just an ordinary 60

It's also because gaming laptops are 100% marketing oriented and nobody cares about the resolution of a laptop screen past a certain point tbh.

Never used that...but have used Magic Cube Laser Projection Holographic Keyboard....pretty cool. This projection keyboard works via Bluetooth HID. connection to main devices, like Tablet PC, Smartphone, Desktop PC and Video game . As a new input device, using the built-in infrared laser transmitter to project the standard keyboard on the working surface , you can locate the click position and input the information by the method of optical identification. Without physical keyboard, small size, easy to carry, this projection keyboard can adapt to most environments.

I remember playing with one of those a decade ago

dunno if they've gotten better but it was really inaccurate, and typing on a hard, flat surface isn't terribly comfortable

I have a mini bluetooth keyboard now if I need to type on my phone

The newer ones are more accurate....they’ve worked out a lot of the bugs
