Go on and listen to some imagine dragons. Not everything has to fit into your tiny little box, kurt cobain would spit in your face for your lack of knowledge of indie rock. It takes talent (something you don't have) to make something sound so dissajointed yet so catchy.
What I like about music is "listening" to it, which is something most people don't do.

I'm not into any particular music I like music in general it all depends on the mood and circumstance. I'm not a faggot like you that has a certain type of "music" if I'm playing video games I like listening to old slayer and cannibal corpse. If I'm at work I'll listen to the oldie station or classical. Sometimes I like ganster rap and sometimes when I'm sleeping I'll listen to a certain skinny puppy album. I like some nirvana I like some Alice in chains some Melvin. Sometimes I listen to Robert Johnson sometimes Neil youngs harvest album.

Sure there's some music that has a general consensus of being shitty, and yet that music is still often very popular. You said it yourself, there are a myriad of factors that can go into why a person listens to what they do at any given time, and most people's musical tastes change and shift throughout their life. I can't recall anyone ever being told that they listen to shitty music and they say 'oh, I do? Gee, I never knew, I'll immediately change what is appealing to my aural palate and force myself to enjoy music that you personally enjoy, because what you enjoy is clearly the superior choice and anyone who has a different taste is obviously dumb, and I don't want to be dumb.' *deletes online music collection, breaks CD collection, goes to buy a bunch of music I've never enjoyed*

yeah thats fairly obvious, and I can understand why you don't like kurt cobain, he was pretty annoying its just I listened to his music when I was six so It kind of stuck
