I used to study politics at uni but dropped it because I don’t care about helping people and Northern Ireland is doomed, I don’t want to only be able to work in the UK.

I can’t see myself living another ten years, but if I do I think I’d try to get into politics because no one notices other women unless they’re politicians, and I can’t live without attention.

It’s almost as good as literally days free from watching unemployed losers bitch about their miserable victim lives no one cares about 😆

It was summer 2005, I was with my family at Blackpool pleasure beach, the amusement park. I wanted to go in this haunted house thing and my dad let me go alone. I quickly found it was a haunted house for adults, that girl from The Exorcist was there, we had to walk around her bed while she grabbed at us, then past these shelves of coffins which stunk. I remember clutching some stranger's shirt because I was scared, he didn't seem to mind. When we came out it was into a pub (I think), and there was a T.V showing our scared reactions, then out onto the street, outside the amusement park. It surprised me, it could have worried my dad, he let his child go into haunted house and they ended up outside the amusement park which was massive and I could have been abducted. I had to go through the ticket gates again.

Anyway it's a little tradition of mine to write a story on NYE and I'm not sure if this is enough to inspire one.

I was at the back and there was a creepy monk following behind me. I bravely went into another haunted house after which seemed like something from Saw.

First it’s NOT New Years Eve….it’s Christmas Eve…maybe lay off the booze for a while.

You’re almost 30 so you weren’t exactly a “child” in 2005, and that’s even allowing for the obvious embellishments on your age.

Again…lay off the booze lady, it causes brain damage that you really can’t afford. 🎄

    If I were 30, then I'd be 13 in 2005. You say that isn't a child?

I actually know fuck all about the troubles in Northern Ireland. We weren't taught about it in primary or secondary school and I did A Level history. I'm not sure why I've avoided learning about it myself, maybe because I don't want to know the horrors my parents had to go through. I don't understand some things like how I just know how things are, they seem mad to people outside N.I but make sense to me. I remember reading a book, The Divided/Celtic heart by Eileen Shirman. It was set in the 50s but the atmosphere was so on point and the exact same today. It hasn't changed. Anyway I've decided I want to know now. Why my uncle tried to kill my dad's sister with a car bomb, why my dad was packing a gun for 30 years and had to move to England, why my Nana said if the troubles restarted again she was leaving N.I. In a hotel last year my uncle commented that he remembered seeing the restaurant get blown up.

They tried to shield us from it so there's people in their 30s who know fuck all about what went on and it only ended in the 90s.

Idk if I should find out. My dad said I was in shock when he told me. Idk if I was because I handle crazy shit well, but that could be because I'm already traumatised or just psycho.

I'm drunk someone stop me from messaging my old history teacher. It isn't directly, I just know she's an admin of a FB page.
