    jedis. Back when they were taking over they wanted kids to challenge authority, and listen to what was cool instead.

    Decent kids want a bit of excitement in their life, if they feel like their parents are trying to remove excitement from their life (what most parents want to do) they will rebel against that.
    Parents should concentrate on giving their kids coping skills and the knowledge to make and carry out plans by themselves.
    And have a spare kid or two, so you don't smother the ones you have cos you are relying on them for grandkids.
