the man named joseph james deangelo was arrested as the earon after police uploaded dna evidence from a rape kit from the original crimes to a commercial dna based genealogy service which narrowed it down to him and then dna from stuff outside his house was a conclusive match with the rape kit
this is interesting enough
but thrillingly it seems that deangelo and his life story also match the profile of the zodiac killer
the age is right and he seems to have been in areas for periods consistent with the zodiac murders
could one man be the terror of multiple decades
he might be the most heinous violent criminal of our times
except obama

EAR/ONS had a different MO than the Zodiac. Zodiac would pick remote lover's lanes to commit his murders. With the exception of the taxi driver he killed. Furthermore there is strong circumstantial evidence the Zodiac was a man by the name of Arthur Leigh Allen. What's more EAR/ONS started out as a burglar, then later went on to breaking into the homes of women he would rape, but only after he was fired from the police force he graduated to murder. Something a criminal psychologists would call a "triggering event". The year of the first known Zodiac murder was 1968. The first know murder committed by EAR/ONS was about 10 years later a short while after he was fired.
What is more, Zodiac, wasn't a sexual sadist insofar as he didn't rape any of his female victims. Which is inconsistent with the MO of EAR/ONS. Like i said EAR/ONS started out with rape and graduated to murder after a trigger event, which occurred a lot later than Zodiac's first murders.
In my opinion it is unlikely EAR/ONS is The Zodic.
