I actually used to play synths for a while. I had two Rolands. a D-10 and a analogue Juno-1 (which has become popular to find. they're like 2000 on some ebay sites if "like new" a collectable).
I can read sheet but it's difficult to play treble and bass cleft for me while reading so I would just try and play by ear and layer tracks.
I have a bass but its collecting dust. I dont know how to read sheet but someone showed me I should use tabs instead. -
