the smog index is 150 (very unhealthy) today. it's rarely foggy in San Francisco bay. there is no fire so its not from smoke like last year this time.
it's just that it's been unusually warm or commonly warm due to Global Warming. We had no summer in this part of the bay all year. its been calm, no breeze since October & it's been in the 70s on and off. rained for a bit. but then just sunny and warm every day. pushing 80s even. seems Indian Summer came lake this year.

either way maybe what you're talking about is arbitrage betting where you quite literally are guaranteed to win by placing bets on different sports books with different odds on the same matches. Frowned upon but not illegal I don't think
