I told myself I was going to stop drinking and consuming marijuana products but then I realize how dull life is and instead of drinking beer by myself, take the fucking train to downtown San Francisco or Oakland and just have a few while I eat some pot brownies an hour prior so they should start to kick in about the time Im on my second beer.

then strip naked af and yell out "This is all there is. Life is like the size of my broken dick and it's not much but with the right remedies it can get pretty sizable. ENJOY"

and If I don't get arrested or beat up I'll try it the following week in a dif establishment. Because this world is what you make of it. You may offend people, make them laugh or encourage them to accept what it is.

Do you like the old british bands of Manchester we spoke of?

I watched this channel that has a lot of new North Western Brit bands I got for free that comes with my new tv. it comes with google tv for free. shit I wouldn't find on youtube (though its goodle and doesnt use youtube)

some of the new stuff reminds me of 80s and 90s but just insnt mainstream in the USA. its good to see rock hasn't died in places like Manchester or Austin Texas. lots of collective rock scenes. Berkeley has died out a bit but used to be a big hub for collective bands to go and watch play together.

It all sounds like very "self" serving..again volunteer to help others less fortunate..The key to happiness is through others happiness, be the catalyst for both.

LOL This dude went to my highschool' for one year (same as me, Freshman year only I went to 20 years later). Jim Morrison really did predict the garbage being pumped out today with all electronic creation and auto-tune that a single person can do

it's more of an obvious I guess but it didn't all exist in one machine at the time as it could be today with a mini moog or any controller and laptop of today. or the last 25 years even

I don't remember who we spoke of, Buzzcocks I guess would be the one I 'liked' the most. The rest wasn't really my cup of tea back then...I was more of a "metal head" in the 80s. I used to go drinking with members of "take that" (not well known in the US but huge in the UK, robbie Williams was/is a member you might have heard of) as they practiced in the building I managed in Manchester...but their music was mostly for teenage girls.

Oasis I like a couple, Joy Division/New Order meh...

The building I managed was actually used in the Movie "24hr party people" there is a scene on the roof of it where they are poisoning pigeons...Movie was made a few years after I left but I would sit up there and eat my lunch of that roof.

I think there is a clip on youtube of it..let me look

    Here it is

Good movie if you can find it. Details the Manchester music scene in the 80s/90s

Yeah I saw the movie. I remember that part. Was that just a building they used that looked like the original clubhouse or studio they recorded in . Like the club Hacienda? Anyways that place was built and the building only lasted like 20 years before being torn down again and they built a high rise apartment or something like that. I'v never been outside the US but would like to visit. Im told its pointless. everything is modern, its like detroit so I might walk into the wrong neighborhood.

As far as metal goes, it was big in the 80s. lots of Metal bands lived in the bay area or started here. East bay mostly. They either started here or lived here when they got big. Megadeth, Testament, Exodus, Metallica is from LA I guess but moved to El Cerrito (where I live close to and lived for a while-- 60s band CC&R is from El Cerrito)

You managed that building? like a soop? did you get a free penthouse apartment or at least the boiler room to crash in while collecting rent in return?

Yeah. Pall Mall House, 20 Church Street, it's since been converted into fancy condos (and extra floors added).

Me and my double best mate Eddie managed it for the owner who was in another city and owned multiple properties. That involved pretty much everything from maintenance/renting out space/security/etc etc...we had a cleaning woman named Philomena Mockett. She was Irish and quite a character who on my 21st birthday threatened to bring her Irish whore friends to work and they were going to rape me...I was quite scared at the time.

The 4th floor was formally called Rainbow dance studios and was your typical dance studio with mirrors on all the walls. After Rainbow dance studios moved out we used to rent the space out to all kinds of "acts", from belly dancing troupes to the Palace theater cast practicing their latest play/choreography etc...lots of major/minor groups etc whenever they were playing in Manchester, a model agency and the mentioned "take that".

Take that was just getting popular when they were using the studios and we had a couple of hundred teenage girls ALWAYS outside when they were there practicing. Those filthy animals would do anything to try and get in the building...offer themselves to us to let them in. One girl said to Eddie "you can fuck me if you'll just take my camera up there and take some photos for me"...he says he didn't but I'm not so sure.

There's a pub next door, "the Unicorn" we'd go drinking in. We used to sneak the take that dudes through the boiler room (which was 2 floors below street level...there was then an "emergency" exit where you hand to climb up from the boiler room using foot and hand holds in the "tunnel" which then came out in the back loading area...then it was a quick run into the side door of the pub and so avoiding the screaming horde.

Here's a pic of it now..you can see the pub there and the additional floors which were added at the back/top...it was a listed building so they couldn't knock it down.

ETA: Whenever I'm in Manchester I go for a pint in the Unicorn for olde timey sake.

Just a building they used...as I say back then it was like the "goto" building in Manchester for anything "theatrical". The funny thing was I was here in the USA by then and didn't know they used it...when I watched 24hr party people I didn't know I was going to be seeing it in the movie...I was sitting with my wife and the scene came on and I was like "hold on! I know that roof!" I never expected to be sitting in Texas and seeing the roof I used to eat my lunch on back in Manchester.

Where you frighten because you thought you might contract something or being slapped and forced to say their names?

That sounds like something people would pay double for 0_o

I'm glad they didn't knock it down. its not real old looking but it's history. progress is good but new buildings lack character and "The musty smell of old generations" and its cool to think about what life was like.

the unicorn is that red building semi-attached?

I actually am quitting vaping nicotine and taking a break from smoking marine iguanas as well.

I have just switched to CBD vape juice. CBD doesn't do shit by itself but it fulfills my physical desire to vape and is a perfectly good alternative as far as kicking anything else is concerned.
