How to efficiently overthrow government?

How would a group actually go about this? Obviously just going around killing politicians or bombing hard targets won't do shit, as some other shitfuck will just replace them and the infrastructure of the State remains in place no matter what person or building you destroy. What would be an efficient and practical means to actually dismantle the State? If you go after one branch, you've still got all the others in tact, now geared toward your own destruction. How can this be done with such a pervasive military structure in place? Is violence the only way? I just offhandedly described a few reasons why utilizing violence and only violence will seemingly fall short, and probably actually make things worse. I guess a multi-pronged effort should take place, but even then, how could this actually be achieved?

To be clear, I'm talking about eliminating and abolishing government, not just overthrowing it to replace it with another, as has been done in various places in history and the world. How does one overthrow the State so that an anarchist society can form?

You can't overthrow a modern government without overwhelming military force. But democratic countries will always eventually collapse under the weight of mass stupidity, so in the case of the US it's just a matter of playing the waiting game.

The only way to break the current global system's back is self sufficiency. Governments, corporations and other powerful groups maintain power by forcing people to rely on them.

Extreme consumerism, energy and food production, reliance on central authorities to maintain order... It's only through personal independence that common people will ever be able to avoid exploitation

    Read the Unabombers manifesto:

    INDUSTRIAL SOCIETY AND ITS FUTURE

    Introduction

    1. The Industrial Revolution and its consequences have been a disaster for the human race. They have greatly increased the life-expectancy of those of us who live in “advanced” countries, but they have destabilized society, have made life unfulfilling, have subjected human beings to indignities, have led to widespread psychological suffering (in the Third World to physical suffering as well) and have inflicted severe damage on the natural world. The continued development of technology will worsen the situation. It will certainly subject human beings to greater indignities and inflict greater damage on the natural world, it will probably lead to greater social disruption and psychological suffering, and it may lead to increased physical suffering even in “advanced” countries.

    2. The industrial-technological system may survive or it may break down. If it survives, it MAY eventually achieve a low level of physical and psychological suffering, but only after passing through a long and very painful period of adjustment and only at the cost of permanently reducing human beings and many other living organisms to engineered products and mere cogs in the social machine. Furthermore, if the system survives, the consequences will be inevitable: There is no way of reforming or modifying the system so as to prevent it from depriving people of dignity and autonomy.

    3. If the system breaks down the consequences will still be very painful. But the bigger the system grows the more disastrous the results of its breakdown will be, so if it is to break down it had best break down sooner rather than later.

    4. We therefore advocate a revolution against the industrial system. This revolution may or may not make use of violence; it may be sudden or it may be a relatively gradual process spanning a few decades. We can’t predict any of that. But we do outline in a very general way the measures that those who hate the industrial system should take in order to prepare the way for a revolution against that form of society. This is not to be a POLITICAL revolution. Its object will be to overthrow not governments but the economic and technological basis of the present society.

    5. In this article we give attention to only some of the negative developments that have grown out of the industrial-technological system. Other such developments we mention only briefly or ignore altogether. This does not mean that we regard these other developments as unimportant. For practical reasons we have to confine our discussion to areas that have received insufficient public attention or in which we have something new to say. For example, since there are well-developed environmental and wilderness movements, we have written very little about environmental degradation or the destruction of wild nature, even though we consider these to be highly important.

the panel is a solar world SWA 345XL, manufactured in Hillsboro, Oregon.
the trojan T105 is made in the USA, as are most ( all? ) of their other products. all of the best flooded lead batteries are made in the USA.

asian batteries and panels are inferior

Theoretically, you would have to assemble multiple units of 5,000 soldiers per unit, bodies large enough to create inertia, then use them in a battle plan to attack and pulverize key government facilities, such as their power stations, their military headquarters, their houses of government, the military airports, government water supplies, government food supplies, their transportation systems, their personal residences, their financial institutions, any buildings and resources of any of their corporate lapdogs, their media assets, their Internet access points, their military ships, etc.. Once those targets are obliterated, ground forces would comb the wreckage block by block, immediately executing on summary conviction anyone found who is connected to the government. Certain high-level government or military actors could be spared in order to be preserved and tortured for further information at some later time. Once all the enemies of the country are eliminated, remaining citizens would be questioned at length about their stance on government, and handled accordingly, shot or hung.

You first get rid of the 99.9% of people who think that that is retarded.

Forget the practicalities about how to implement it - how did you get convinced that anarchism is a worthwhile project?
