that or eve online? (never played eve online but it looks interesting)
my favorite characters were the assassin and the barbarian.

2016-05-03 at 6:04 AM UTCI still boot up D2 from time to time and play through the first few chapters. Paladin or necromancer based on my mood, explode corpse is somehow, after all these years, still fun as shit even if I usually play summon.
Also super meat boy is a lot of fun. It kinda happened in an era of cringey "indie" games but I think it really managed to characterize "nintendo hard" in a way I haven't seen any other game do well. I think it's really well made and definitely worth a play. -

2016-05-03 at 6:09 AM UTCD3 is shit. "oh hey, let's play whackamole on cooldowns" totally misses the appeal of the franchise. Not to mention that piece of shit sat in development for what? 6 years? Graphics were trash (not that that was ever really what the franchise was about).
Runescape has a place in my heart but it really is the epitome of shit-slog grind. -
2016-05-03 at 6:28 AM UTCI usually played necro in D2, haven't touched it in years though. didn't even know there was an assassin class because I never had the expansion.
I played D3 for a while, the cooldown thing doesn't really come in until late in the game, ie. you've completed it a few times and are just grinding for gear for some reason. the entire basis for it is fucked though, just grind grind grind for better gear and literally nothing else... I couldn't do it sober.
also the always online faggotry and how hard it fucked up at launch.... it's like they simultaneously forced you to play online but stopped you from interacting with other players in any meaningful way.
also how there are only like 2-3 viable builds for each class and they're all centred around premade set armor to the point where for any high-level character, you could immediately tell exactly what they were going to do by looking at their class and armor colour (unless they transmogrified it but whatever). -

i used to work for blizzard for awhile as a gm for wow and you wouldnt believe the bs they spewed about d3 being so great, while in its development stage, but yeah your right they took forever for it to come out because they are typically a bunch of candy ass slackers that rather place x-box than actually make pc games, i quit because blizzard is chalk full of huge neck beards that think its a coveted position (they use a temp agency that lays off the employs so its no skin off their nose) it can be cool, but you honestly have to be a true to life "gamer" to work there and put up with the faggotry that exist there. Plus I never liked wow and it didn't pay enough for sitting at a computer. It was awful, i only got the job because my 'friend' wanted to keep me in his life after he kicked me out of his place because I wasn't a gay.
I got a few phone calls about how i was a quitter and stuff like that. I still got my money I worked for though. fucking idiots -

The reason why RuneScape is superior to most other games is because at least there are like 35 different skills you can grind, you don't have to force yourself to metamorphosize into a single line of macro code for a month to get 99 fishing, you can actually do whatever you want as soon as you get bored], which people forget when they set nerd goals. Also, the questing system is superior to most, if not all. Since I live in apemode, a definition of a good day for me is to take some nutmeg and/or bundy, leave youtube on an album stream, afk grind one skill so I feel like I'm doing something productive, and while I level up chat with people online, browse interwebs and refresh nigspace.. It's a lifehack to go catatonic but still feel like you've accomplished something. The only games that requires any real intelligence are pentominoe-tier which are fun but the autist guilt is strong with this one.

Yes I get it, but it just goes to show different people like different things. Just ask badley b , oh.. wait you can't because he's in jail again for the last couple months. He pretty much did the same thing as you, smoke spice and nod at and have his mom come in and yell at him, play runescape, and try to sneak younger boi's into his room.. seems pretty typical of kids your age thes days.
again this thread is about diablo 2, its about hacking and slashing vapid demon cow whores from hell, what do you guys don't get about that?
i'd suggest you guys buy diablo 2 and the expansion for 20 bucks and we form a team but most of you don't have two dimes to rub together.
