We have a moral obligation to stop eating meat

Lanny and Zanick have a moral obligation to criticise this.

They also have a moral obligation to not be culturally insensitive.

Do I really need to criticize the photo? Can't you tell that what's occurring there isn't in the best interests of the goat?

Do those brown people have a moral obligation to do what you tell them to?

No, but if not me it'll just be Russia.

So then I can refute your argument without any logic just by saying "I'm brown, I can do whatever I want to animals".

You can do whatever you want to animals. While I might argue that there are certain things you shouldn't do to them, I'm hardly in a position to enforce that.

I'm not obligated to offer moral criticism just because you're behaving immorally. Like §m£ÂgØL said, I don't bug people who are trying to eat. Far more often, it's the other way around.

We all know those brown people don't want to hear your moral opinions, and if they do listen they're likely to ask "what's in that for me?"

I'm not obligated to offer moral criticism just because you're behaving immorally.
Why not? If you're obligated not to eat animals yourself, why aren't you obligated to stop others from doing it?

I was vegetarian for 14 years, so I know the mindset. Vegetarians think meat is yucky, they like signalling how spiritually evolved they are, they have weak personalities, and they know their opinions have zero basis in natural law.

Vegetarianism is an attempt to opt-out of life, which is why vegetarianism is common among new-agers, religious mystics and the like.

its never good to fuck around with natures order of things, nothing good will come of that. by all humans stopping eating meat is removing the no1 apex predator from the food chain of this planet. can you imagine the consequences of that? they'll be knock on effects that we prolly couldn't even imagine. there'll be way more food for the other predators who will then thrive, then they'll eat even more. they may increase so much that they'll use up all the resources at some point in future and hungry predators will start attacking more people. the apex predator being taken out of the loop on such a large scale has never been seen in the history of this planet, except for when its been replaced by another more successful and fearsome predator(man).

man needs to stop fucking with the ecosystem, not making it even worse.

If you were a vegetarian for 14 years, you shouldn't need me to explain to you that some vegetarians are voluntarists and others are not, and if that's your impression of the decision not to eat meat, you were probably one of the shallower vegetarians.

In retrospect, I can see why calling it a goat was a mistake: it's in part because it is a cow, but mostly I regret saying "goat" because you cannot seem to get past the fact that I misidentified one mammal for another, very closely related one. Maybe if they hadn't hacked its legs off while it was still alive and rolled it onto the ground, I would've recognized by its height that it was a cow.

You just seem to repeat the same ignorant things over and over, always from the sidelines. I think it's because you don't really understand what's going on, and you impulsively pick the side closest to the behaviors you were raised with, and you start sputtering foolish insults. I think you're a worthless, ignorant person, and on some level, you're totally aware of it.

The idea that animal cruelty happening in other cultures poses some kind if dilemma is 100% fabrication. No one, at any point in this thread, has argued morally indefensible actions are pardoned by being part of a cultural tradition. You've invented this idea.

I have some respect for activists like PETA. Unlike you and Lanny they stand up for what they believe, and will even criticise jedis and Muslims, something you guys would never dare do.

You guys want to bind me in a system of rules that you won't even enforce. This is like having a legal system that asks you not to steal.

You obviously don't believe in your own arguments.
